Judge Boasberg's Controversial Moves Against Trump Administration
We dive headfirst into the escalating tension between Judge James Boasberg and the Trump administration over the controversial use of the 1798 Alien Enemies Act for deportations. This legal showdown reached new heights when the judge suggested holding administration officials in contempt for allegedly ignoring his order to turn around deportation flights carrying Venezuelan migrants.
The drama unfolded during a contentious hearing where Deputy Assistant Attorney General Drew Ensign faced tough questioning about who authorized the flights to continue despite the judge's verbal command. "Who made the decision to either not tell the pilots anything or to tell them to keep going?" Boasberg demanded, clearly frustrated by what he called the government's potential "bad faith" throughout the proceedings. The administration maintains they complied with the written order but has conspicuously avoided addressing whether they violated the earlier verbal directive.
Beyond the legal battle, we explore concerning allegations about Judge Boasberg's potential conflicts of interest, with reports that his wife has received significant taxpayer funding through various programs. We also share the welcome news that a Michigan couple has finally been released after being held hostage in Mexico over a timeshare dispute—a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities Americans can face abroad. Hello, good morning my fellow patriots and good Americans. How are you today? On this Friday, tell me about your weekend plans, but that is not the question of the day, and our story of the day is Judge Boasberg. You know who he is. He has new things he wants to do now Suggests Trump admin is acting in bad faith, hence at contempt proceedings, an alien enemies act case. So no longer is it fine for him to go after trump himself. The man this judge now wants to go after his attorneys. Us district court Court Judge James Boasberg suggested Thursday, just yesterday, that he could. When I first read this story I thought this is not true, this cannot be happening, but apparently it is, or he's thinking about it. All right that he could hold Trump administration officials in contempt for allegedly violating his court order blocking the use of the 1798, violating his court order blocking the use of the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport suspected Venezuelan gang members. Remember this is the judge that when the plane was in the air he said no, turn the plane around and come back. Who do you think you are, mister? Really?
Speaker 1:Deputy Assistant Attorney General Drew Ensign was pressed by Boasberg during the hearing in Washington DC about who in Trump administration was involved in ordering three? Who do you think was doing it? Involved in ordering three deportation flights to El Salvador carrying more than 250 migrants last month, and whether the government ignored his verbal order for the planes to be turned around? Obviously they did, because you really don't have any jurisdiction. I mean, I don't know. I'm not a lawyer, I don't know, but I've heard, read, listened to all the professional pundits out there say this same thing. When and when Ensign responded that he believed the Trump administration did comply with Boasberg's order, the judge shot back. It seems to me there's a fair likelihood that that is not correct, in fact, that the government acted in bad faith throughout the day. If you really believed everything you did that day was legal and could survive a court challenge, I can't believe you ever would have operated the way you did, boasberg added.
Speaker 1:The Trump administration maintains that it complied with a 7.27 pm written order from Boasberg on March 15th halting the use of the 18th century law to swiftly deport alleged migrant gang members, but has sidestepped whether it violated his oral order that day, which was issued at approximately 6.45 pm. The administration has refused to provide timeline for the flights, citing national security privileges. Well, that paragraph, right there, is not going to go over. Well, the judge will probably order it somehow He'll get around it. This might turn into something.
Speaker 1:Y'all who made the decision to either not tell the pilots anything or to tell them to keep going? I'd like to know who that was. Boesberg asked Ensign, before floating the possibility of contempt proceedings. How should I determine who the contemner or contemners are? The judge continued Ooh-wee. Ensign said he did not know who was tasked with making the call. Hmm, probably somebody fairly high up in the food chain. You, standing here, have no idea who made the decision to not bring the planes back or have the passengers not be disembarked upon arrival? Bozbert asked again as we proceed with potential contempt proceedings, that may be become relevant. Ooh, and there's more to the story, but you can go finish reading that. Not much more. I mean, come on.
Speaker 1:And so over here on my other, let's see, I'm going to go look to see what Wall Street Ape, this Wall Street Apes X account. I don't know how legit they are, but they have some sightings here. Federal activist Judge James Boasberg is as corrupt as they come and they list some things here. And, judge James, we've heard about this before, so it's not just coming from them. Judge James Boasberg's wife, elizabeth Leslie Manson didn't take his last name has taken a $50 million from taxpayers. $5 million was sent overseas, to Philippines. Taxpayers pay her NGO $15 million per year. I wonder what that NGO is. See, he should not even be on this case at all. 1.3 million in paycheck loans. She received 801 employer retention credit mislabeled from PPP program. So it goes on and on. You can go over there. To my, an Americanist Actually, my account is called On X, it's an no. Let me back up on x, it's americanist blog. There's no. And in front of it, as far as the tag goes uh, wow, and there's some other things on here that you might want to go look at. Uh, so here's another. Here's a university of south carolina student, 21 years old, was killed in a hit and run crash involving illegal immigrants. There's another one for you uh, oh, and this, would this, this, oh, this story right here. Please go look at this story. They're coming home. You I talked about this earlier this michigan couple that was held hostage in mexico for not paying this crazy amount of fines and fees and bills and invoices that this resort said that they owed like a timeshare. And so they held him there and they're finally coming home and their representative from Michigan went over there and got them Republican. Yes, paul and Christy Accio released after being held hostage in Mexico prison for nearly a month over a timeshare dispute. So they are coming home.
Speaker 1:All right, we need a question of the day and then we're moving on. Oh, question of the day I want to know how your parents met. Mine just met in high school. Mother got pregnant with me, dad went to Vietnam. Then, I think they did get married for a little. Yeah, they did get married. They little. Yeah, they did get married. They did get married, but then they were divorced, probably before I would turn a year old, maybe two years old. I don't remember them being together at all. But that's my question of the day, and I know I've got to get a new intro for the podcast and I'll do that. I'll work on that today and don't forget, the Liberty Line is open.
Speaker 1:The topic this week is who is your favorite US president from history and why? Or what is your favorite American moment in history? So those are your two topics you can choose from. Just record it on your voice memo app and email it to me or let me know. I'll send you a share link to drop that in. And yeah, I look forward to doing that. Hopefully I'll put something together on Sunday. I want to kind of work on it on Sunday, put it together and have it ready for you Sunday evening or something like that. I think that'd be a great time to put it out there. All right, gotta go. Thanks for listening. Love y'all. Bye.
